I’m Lindsay…
…Fractional COO and Founder of LJBOps.
My passion for small business started early, watching my dad and uncle run the innovative manufacturing company their father built in Cleveland, OH. Seeing how a well-run business can strengthen a community by creating jobs, supporting families, and fueling local causes shaped my belief that operations done well is a force for good.
That belief guided my path through the salon industry, where I completed the Aveda Business College program and later co-founded Manifesta Salon, a community-focused business rooted in equity and craftsmanship. As Operations Manager and co-owner, I secured financing, built the business plan, and created systems that supported sustainable growth. I led strategic planning, budgeting, and team development, and implemented a progressive compensation model that improved both profitability and retention.
After selling my share of Manifesta, I joined The Lawt, a remote legal recruiting agency, and eventually became Operations Manager. There, I discovered how creative operations can be – designing custom SOPs, KPI dashboards, and workflows that were both replicable and uniquely suited to the company’s culture. My work built the operational foundation that enabled the company to scale by 400% and demonstrated how strong systems can create clarity and alignment even in fast-changing environments.
Along the way, I pursued MBA coursework in Sustainability at San Francisco State University, expanding my understanding of how thoughtful systems design can drive both profit and impact.
Through LJBOps, I now partner with small business owners, creatives, and mission-driven teams who are ready to grow sustainably, intentionally, and without the need for a full-time COO. I bring 15+ years of experience simplifying operations, building human-centered systems, and helping businesses run smoothly so you can focus on what matters most: your purpose, your people, and your impact.
